Computer Connects to WiFi But Won't Work

I have tried all 13 troubleshooting items listed here on the website. None of them have worked. My device is connected to wifi, but nothing works. Other devices have no issue connecting. My office admin is out of office until Wednesday and I am not able to call customer support. Anyone have any options?

@CmdrKeene 90,626 Reputation points Volunteer Moderator2025-12-09T18:35:23.32+00:00 What's the symptom that you see? If you click your wifi network option to see the nearby wifi networks around you, does it list your current one as "Connected, No internet" as the status? Or something else?

Also check AP/Router/Firewall ACL it may prevent that device.

look for the default gateway ip address.
then type ping ipaddress (center) , use the ip address of the default gateway.
if the ping responds , try this: ping 8.8.8.8
if the ping responds , ut means the connection works and the issue is DNS
check your dns servers or type NSLOOKUP
the in the nslookup prompt type some domains like google.com , cnn.com
You should get the dns records
If you don't get it, check this:
be sure the ipv4 address configuration in the network adapter is set to dynami (be sure your ip address is not 169.254.0.x( when you run the ipconfig)
if you see 169.254.0.x , it means your network doesn't have a DHCP or DHCP enabled.
