What device are you using your Teams application on? Is it a Windows, Mac, Linux computer or a mobile device.

Are you using internal built-in camera or an external camera?

Hello Dawn. The IP blurry image and background issue in Microsoft Teams has reappeared for some users after a small recent update. It is often caused by a mix of old Teams caches, glitches from Hardware acceleration or camera permission not properly initializing when your first start your personal machine. Once you following the steps below you will ensure your image is always clear each time you log onto Teams before any calls.

First, ensure you have the latest version of Teams downloaded, and completely quit Teams by right clicking on the app in the Task Bar when finished, and then restarting the app, not simply closing the window. Clear your Teams cache by going to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and clearing by deleting whatever is in folders like the Cache, blob_storage, gpucache. Be sure your camera drivers are up to date and that your machine meets the requirements of Teams hardware requirements to support background effects. Do not use InPrivate, or guest mode if feasible. Always turned on your camera, and then your camera loads the background filters properly.
