Not sure what else to say to consume 50 characters, so I guess I'll just repeat the question:

How can I move the Taskbar from the bottom of the screen to vertical on the left?

We were asking this even before the release of Windows 11, during the Insider test releases.

The latest Insider letter indicates we will have a vertical taskbar in the future:

    Hello Sam, this is Ivy.

It looks like you're trying to move the taskbar in Windows 11 from the bottom of the screen to a vertical orientation on the left side. Unfortunately, Windows 11 has undergone some design changes, and currently, it doesn't support repositioning the taskbar this way. The functionality to move the taskbar from its default position is not available in this version due to the redesign aimed at improving reliability.

    Here’s a bit more detail:

    • The taskbar is locked in its position at the bottom of the screen in Windows 11, and there's no built-in option to move it to the sides.
    • This is different from previous versions of Windows, and there may be hopes for additional features in future updates, but as of now, this is how it stands.

If you’re looking for ways to customize your taskbar or manage its apps, you can pin/unpin applications or adjust some settings from Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.

I hope this clarifies things for you! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
