Spam Calendar Invites From Myself

Lately I noticed calendar invites coming from my own email inviting random people to a random event or “topic”. How do I get these to stop? They are plaguing my calendar and I need them (the spam coding or spam AI bots) removed.

    Hi Shaun,

Thanks for reaching out. You’re not alone on this many users have faced similar issues recently. I'm here to help!

The first step to prevent this is disabling automatic event additions. In Outlook Web, go to Settings → View all Outlook settings → Calendar → Events from email and turn off “Automatically add events to my calendar.” For the desktop app, navigate to File → Options → Calendar and uncheck “Automatically process meeting requests and responses.” Microsoft 365 admins can also use PowerShell to stop automated processing.

    Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity ******@domain.com -AutomateProcessing None

If the issue persists, review device profiles and consider stricter calendar policies. Microsoft is aware of the problem and working on improvements, but these steps are the most effective workaround for now.
