I bought 365 business standard a few days ago for my small business. Before I only hade the free personal version . The money was taken from my account. I have a confirmation number and everything. When I signed up I had to make a new @onmicrosoft.com adress. So I entered one. The confirmation code was sent to that email. But when I try to log in to this @onmicrosoft.com account is says that is does not exist.

I cannot log in to access the customer service for the commercial side. When going through the personal customer service I have been in several chats and finally they called and transfered me to the commercial customer service. It got disconnected several times and I had to start the whole process again. Once I got to talk to somebody on the commercial side they put me on hold while checking something and I got disconnected again.

I have been trying to get help for days and feel like I am losing it. I cannot access the account. I cannot stop the payments for being made again in the future and it is a nightmare to get a hold of an actual person. While calling the number provided myself I just get to an AI robot that cannot help me and hangs up. I have tried in different browsers, incognito and emptying cache. If anyone has a solution for me, please help!

I can not be this hard to get help for such a large global company!

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how stressful it is to purchase Microsoft 365 Business Standard and then be unable to log in, especially after multiple attempts and calls. Let’s go through why this happens and how to resolve it.

This issue often occurs when the new @onmicrosoft.com account was not fully set up or verified during the purchase process. If the account does not exist in the Microsoft Entra ID directory, you won’t be able to sign in or access admin features. The confirmation email you received indicates the tenant was created, but the sign-in failure suggests either the username is incorrect or the account setup was incomplete.

To resolve this, go to https://admin.microsoft.com and try signing in with the exact @onmicrosoft.com username and password you created. If it still says the account doesn’t exist, verify the tenant by visiting https://signup.microsoft.com and entering your business email to recover the organization account. If you cannot recover it, contact Microsoft 365 Business Support directly through the Get Help option at https://admin.microsoft.com or by calling the commercial support number listed for your region. They can confirm the tenant and reset credentials.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
