Additional assignment-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for Education
Dear @CamilleGJ,
Good day, and thank you for reaching out to Q&A Forum. To make sure I understand correctly, could you confirm whether you are looking for:
- each student’s final grade percentage (one row per student),
- an overall total or class average, or something else entirely?
From my research, there is currently no built‑in option that exports only the final grade percentage per student as a clean summary file. Instead, this needs to be created from the exported Excel gradebook.
Export grades to Excel
In Excel:
Delete or hide all columns except:
- Student name The column showing the final course grade (often called Total, Course Total, or similar, depending on your setup)
- Format the final grade column as Percentage (Home > Number > %)
If needed, create a Final % column using a formula such as:
- =AVERAGE(range) for equally weighted assignments
- or a weighted formula, depending on your grading structure
- Save it as a separate file, for example: Final Grade Summary.xltx
Once set up, this process only takes a few minutes and the template can be reused in the future. You can also find ready‑made Excel gradebook templates online that automatically calculate averages or weighted percentages. If you choose to do so, please ensure you download templates only from trusted sources.
You can also use tables and charts in Excel to turn the final grade list into a clear visual summary.
If this is not what you’re looking for, please let me know which of the following best matches your goal:
- A list of all students with their final grade percentage
- An overall class summary
- Something else
If you’re able to share an example or a screenshot of the screen you’re referring to (with any sensitive information hidden), I can provide more targeted guidance. I hope this helps clarify the situation and provides a workable solution. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’m always happy to help. Have a wonderful day.
