How do I pair Helen's AirPods Pro with my surface laptop

I cannot pair my apple ipods pro to my surface laptop. I can see everything in my entire house except my ipods pro

See:

Put AirPods Pro in pairing mode

Place both AirPods in the case and keep the lid open

Press and hold the small button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white

This resets them into pairing mode so your laptop can discover them

On your Surface, add the device

Settings → Bluetooth & devices

Turn Bluetooth OFF

Wait 10 seconds > Turn it ON again > Click “Add device” > Choose Bluetooth > Keep the AirPods case open beside the laptop

Reboot Surface

Follow these steps on the Surface laptop and AirPods Pro:

Make sure Bluetooth is on
- On Windows 11: Select Network on the right side of the taskbar and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- If Bluetooth was already on, turn it off and then back on.
Put AirPods Pro into pairing mode
- Put both AirPods Pro in the charging case.
- Open the lid.
- Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the LED starts flashing white. This means they are in pairing mode and discoverable.
Add the AirPods Pro in Windows
- On Windows 11: Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Select Add device and choose Bluetooth.
- Wait for the AirPods Pro to appear in the list, then select them to pair.
If the AirPods Pro still do not appear
- Remove or disconnect other Bluetooth audio devices from the Surface to reduce interference.
- Restart the Surface laptop, then repeat steps 1–3.
- If they still do not show, try pairing the AirPods Pro with another device to confirm they can enter pairing mode correctly.

If Bluetooth in general is not working on the Surface (no devices can connect or Bluetooth seems missing), run the Bluetooth troubleshooter:

On Windows 11: Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Bluetooth > Run.
