Can't delete specific dropdown results, Shift + Delete doesn't work for results that show up when using any search bar, this applies for both Edge and any site I go to. The X that shows up next to the result doesn't even work.

Image shows example of this, I can't delete the caty and cat] results using the mouse or keyboard.

    Hi,

That appears to be a search suggestion from the Microsoft Bing search bar, which includes the search bar on bing.com and the new tab page in Microsoft Edge. Since the suggestions are generated automatically as you type, there is currently no option to remove a specific suggestion from the results.

However, if the suggestion is coming from your previous activity, you can delete your search history from Bing Search History so it will no longer appear when you click the search bar.

Those individual suggestions cannot be removed because they are coming from saved browsing/search history that is still present in Edge and/or in the Microsoft cloud. When the underlying history entry remains, the suggestion reappears and the X/Shift+Delete behavior is effectively blocked.

Delete the underlying history so those entries no longer appear:

    1. In Edge, open Settings and more (three dots) > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
    2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear next to Clear browsing data now.
    3. Set Time range to All time (or at least to a range that covers when those searches were made).
    4. Select at minimum Browsing history (and optionally Download history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files if those might also be contributing suggestions).
    5. Select Clear now.

If sync is enabled and the suggestions are synced from other devices, clear history across all synced devices:

    1. Ensure sync is turned on under Settings > Profiles > Sync.
    2. Repeat the Clear browsing data steps above so the data is removed from all synced devices.
    3. If needed, also review and delete data in the Microsoft cloud via the privacy dashboard linked from the same page.

After the relevant history is removed locally and in the cloud, those specific dropdown results will stop appearing.
