Quick view disappeared, how to bring it back?

This is so stupid. My cat stepped on my keyboard and somehow deleted the quick view tab. The biggest issue is now my mentions, followed threads, and drafts are all now stuck at the top of my chats, which wastes space. Before I could collapse the quick view tab and minimize the space eaten up by the stuff I never use. I cannot find how to re-add the quick view tab, place the mentions, followed threads, and drafts under the quick view tab and collapse it. There are no (...) next to any of those for me to click and edit.

Google searching tells me I must have collapsed my quick view unknowingly, like I have never used a computer for my entire life, and that's why I don't see them. No Google, it's not collapsed, it's gone, which is what I said in my query.

Any help is appreciate, I just hate being unable to get rid of unnecessary clutter for work.

    Hi @jwm,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, I understand that your Teams app is missing the Quick view section, and you are unable to collapse items such as Drafts, Mentions, etc.

Please try the following steps and let me know whether the issue has been resolved:

    1. Switch between view modes
    • Try switching between the following sections: Unread, Channels, Chats, Meeting chats. User's image
    • Then unselect all of them and check again.
    1. Restart Teams
    • Please completely exit Teams and reopen the application.
    1. Clear Teams cache
    • Step 1: Fully close the Teams application.
    • Step 2: Press Windows + R, then enter the following path: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
    • Step 3: Delete all files in this folder.
    • Step 4: Restart Teams.
    1. Reinstall Teams
    • If the issue still persists, please try uninstalling Teams and reinstalling the application.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.

I received notification that Q&A Assist responded, but when I try to view the message, I am told it was deleted for violating rules. The few lines included in the email seemed to be telling me how to restore the default view, which is the info I need. Please repost the answer!
