We are trying to obtain an Artifact Signing account in Azure for an organization. However, the company identity validation keeps getting rejected, without any stated reason. This is a regular company (German GmbH) with its own domain (which has been registered for a couple of years) and all the company registration data required. It should be trivial to validate.

We tried with DUNS number and tax ID. New requests are now getting rejected automatically.

What can we do?

Artifact Signing
Artifact Signing

A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)

May I ask Microsoft Support to please look into this issue and get back to me? This should be easy to resolve, as the organization is a regular, operational German company with all pertinent documentation and registration data.

    Hello !

Thank you for posting on MS Learn Q&A.

For this case, do not keep creating new identity validation requests. Once the same entity starts getting rejected automatically, the portal flow usually will not give you enough information to self fix it.

Since the company is a German GmbH, country eligibility should not be the issue for Public Trust because Artifact Signing Public Trust is currently available for organizations in the EU, among other regions.

Only Microsoft can tell why the vetting failed or unblock an auto rejection loop so prepare the IDs and documents and stop resubmitting blindly and push for manual review through Azure Support.
