how do I update the Microsoft Defender, Antimalware Client Version while offline

following instructions from microsoft.com I have been unsuccessful in applying any update manually to the Microsoft Defender Antimalware Client. I am using Microsoft windows 10 version 1809. the system runs version 4.18.24080....

    Is there a specific reason you're using such an old version of Windows 10? 1809 is from the 2nd half of 2018 and has been unsupported for a very long time. Windows 10 22H2 is the latest version of Windows 10, and even that is not supported anymore unless you pay for extended support updates (ESUs).

    Are you able to update to Windows 11? Does your hardware support Windows 11's specs (usually it's the CPU that's the problem as it has to be Generation 8 and Newer Intels).
