Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I opened edge today and sidebar was gone. It was a crucial part of my day-to-day and I really want to know how to reinstate it . The sidebar icon is there but there is no response when clicking.
Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 10
Hi,
Unfortunately, the sidebar was removed starting with version 149. See this article for further details.
I know how useful it was since I used it a lot myself. Right now, there isn't any workaround to bring it back. I've tried quite a few apps and extensions to find something similar, but I haven't come across anything that really matches the experience. The closest alternative I've found so far is the Vivaldi browser, which includes a sidebar feature that's fairly similar to Edge's. That said, I encourage you to upvote this feedback below. The more support it receives, the better the chances that the team will take notice and consider bringing the feature back in a future update.
