Microsoft Edge version 149.0.4022.52 (64-bit) FORCING rounded borders, what is the work-around?

As others have already complained about, the latest Microsoft Edge update has removed the flag to turn off Rounded Borders in the browsing view, thus forcing them to remain on. This is obnoxious and intrusive and there are many inconveniences that come from the browsing window not reaching the edges of the screen. Why this is forced upon us with no way to turn it off is beyond me, but it is the reason I am now abandoning Edge for Firefox.

Once user suggested applying the launch parameter --disable-features=msFeatureGroupNewLookAndFeelHoldout, and while this technically works it leaves an ugly white border that is extremely noticeable with the dark theme and I would frankly rather have the rounded border than that, but I don't want the rounded border to begin with.

Is there another work-around that people have found, perhaps a registry key? I'll consider switching back if so, but otherwise I am just very disappointed by the slew of nonsense updates that only serve to drive the already dwindling userbase away.

    Hi,

I totally get the frustration. A lot of users have been bringing up the same issue. If you haven't already, I'd suggest giving this feedback an upvote. The more support a request gets, the more likely it is to get noticed by the team and hopefully lead to restoring the option to disable it via edge://flags in a future update.

For now, I have seen this thread from GitHub that might help you resolve it temporarily

See if launching with the following parameters provides a better visual experience for the time being.

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --enable-features=msForceNoRoundedCornerAndMargin --disable-features=msOmniboxFocusRingRoundEmphasize

    1. Check Edge Appearance settings
    2. Command-line workaround (temporary)
    3. Roll back to Edge 148
    4. Use Feedback

As of Edge 149.0.4022.52, there does not appear to be an official supported way to permanently disable the rounded page border/corners. The old edge://flags options have reportedly been removed.
