AI Skills Navigator videos show "Your browser is currently set to block cookies" despite cookies being enabled

I'm unable to watch video content in Microsoft AI Skills Navigator because every video displays the following message:

"Your browser is currently set to block cookies. In order to watch the video, please allow non-essential cookies to be used in your web browser."

The issue occurs on the following URL (and other videos appear to behave the same way): https://aiskillsnavigator.microsoft.com/player?catalogId=video-91d9223bd086e0d77c28fd59739f59a45d271203edeba1ec4300ac9fdeb90c7a

Troubleshooting already performed

  • Enabled third-party cookies.
  • Added the site to browser allow lists.
  • Tested on Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
  • Tested on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Tested on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Tested with both a personal Microsoft account (MSA) and an Entra ID account.
  • Confirmed that navigator.cookieEnabled returns true.

Any assistance would be appreciated

I had the same issue. Tried multiple different browsers. What worked for me was changing the settings on the actual AI Skills Navigator webpage. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the "Manage Cookies" section in the page footer. You might find some cookie options are set to "Reject". For me it was analytics and social media. Change these to "Accept", save changes, then refresh the browser window. The videos should now play without issue.User's image

    Hi Wes,

I tried Chrome, in Incognito mode, and it is working for me at the moment.

Third-party cookies enabled, I am on my laptop, Wi-Fi, and logged in with my personal Microsoft account (MFA).

Maybe that Incognito mode will work for you, too.

If you use a tool/extension that sends the GPC signal (Global Privacy Control Signal) to automatically block non-functional cookies that could be the snag as well. I use an extension in all of my browsers to automatically send this (NAI Global Privacy Control Signal extension). Turning off this extension temporarily allowed me to progress. HTH!
