Other issues or features related to Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I was recently hacked on my phone Facebook account. I changed my password on my phone and the FB account is working fine on my phone. However, when I try to open my FB account on my computer it asks me to sign in. I put in the new password and it advises me the password is incorrect. So I hit the forgot password button and it directs me to another page that states:
This page isn't available right now
This may be because of a technical error that we're working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.
Is the recent I am unable to get into FB due to some of the recent updates made by Microsoft? I've tried working through FB and because FB is working on my phone, why won't it work on my computer?
Please advise how we can correct this issue.
Thank you.

Hi Cynthia,
To further isolate the issue, have you tried to clear cookies or try a different browser? As per checking, since sign in works on your phone then your Facebook account is fine.
Your inability to log into Facebook on your laptop is not caused by Microsoft updates, it’s a Facebook login/session issue. Since your account works fine on your phone, the problem is specific to your browser or cached session on the laptop. Clearing cookies/cache and trying a different browser is the best approach to proceed.

The issue is not caused by a Microsoft update. The problem is specific to Facebook and the way it handles sign-in and password reset on the website.
Because Facebook works on the phone but not on the computer, use these steps on the Windows 10 laptop with Microsoft Edge:
If the problem persists only on the PC after clearing cookies/cache and confirming the correct password, continue working with Facebook support, as Microsoft Edge and Windows do not control Facebook’s password or recovery pages.
