Several pages on MSN with the name "NIVO creations" (Showing crafts or wood working pictures) bring up a page of porn when clicked. How do I keep the sites from getting on my computer?

The websites in question were likely hijacked by a hacker who replaced the content. There isn't anything permanent that you or Microsoft can do about it, unfortunately, because the problem has to be solved by website's owner, who has to fix their website.

The most that you or anyone can do is to complain about what you're seeing on the Feedback Hub. Try to be specific please, about which web pages are problems. If the website owners don't fix their websites soon enough, Microsoft can take whatever action against them that is contained in their contract.

One more example of hackers making it bad for everyone.

Those pages are likely malicious or compromised sites that redirect to porn or other unwanted content. To reduce the chance of these sites loading on a Windows 11 PC using Microsoft Edge:

    1. Keep Windows and Edge updated
    • Install all Windows and Microsoft Edge updates so known security holes and browser vulnerabilities are patched. This helps prevent hacked or compromised webpages from exploiting the browser.
    1. Use Microsoft Edge’s built‑in protection
    • Use a modern browser like Microsoft Edge, which can help block malicious websites and prevent malicious code from running on the computer.
    • Make sure SmartScreen is turned on in Microsoft Edge so reported phishing and malware sites are blocked or warned about. SmartScreen also checks downloads for malware.
    1. Avoid suspicious or misleading links
    • Be careful when clicking links, even if they appear on otherwise trusted portals. Malicious or compromised sites can be reached through legitimate pages.
    • If a page aggressively opens pop‑ups, redirects, or shows misleading buttons, close the tab or browser instead of interacting with it.
    1. Block malicious or compromised websites
    • If a site is clearly unsafe (for example, it unexpectedly shows porn or other unwanted content), stop using it and avoid revisiting it.
    • In Microsoft Edge, click More […] > Send feedback to report unsafe sites. Unsafe sites can also be reported directly to Microsoft using the reporting page referenced in the documentation.
    1. Use antivirus and keep it current
    • Ensure Windows Security (Microsoft Defender Antivirus) is active and up to date. An up‑to‑date, real‑time security product helps protect against malware and potentially unwanted software that might be delivered by such sites.
    1. Clear browser data and remove unused extensions
    • Clear Edge’s cache, cookies, and site data so malicious or compromised pages are less likely to reload from history.
    • Remove any browser extensions that are not recognized or no longer needed, especially if unwanted pages started appearing after installing them.
    1. Stay away from pirated or questionable content
    • Avoid visiting sites that offer potentially illicit or pirated content; these are often used to distribute malware or unwanted redirects.

If an unsafe site is encountered again, close the tab or browser immediately rather than interacting with any content or pop‑ups.
