Unable to find and activate WORD HOME, purchased on 06/01/26.

If unable to do so, how can I get a refund for my purchase?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Can you confirm where you purchased Word Home on 06/01/26? Was it purchased directly from the Microsoft Store, a retailer, or did it come with a new PC?

Also, when you sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services do you see Office Home listed there?

If you purchased it from Microsoft Store, make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account that was used for the purchase. You can also check your Order History to verify that the purchase was completed successfully.

If you don't see the product in your account, let me know the exact product name purchased, where it was purchased, and any error message you receive when trying to activate.

Regarding a refund, if the purchase was made directly through Microsoft, you may be able to request one through your Order History, depending on the purchase status and Microsoft's refund policy.

I look forward to your reply.

To activate Word Home and, if needed, request a refund, follow these steps.

    1. Make sure the correct account is used
    • Open any Office app (such as Word) on the device.
    • When prompted to sign in, use the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase Word Home.
    • If the wrong account is used, Office may show messages like “We couldn't find any Office products,” and activation will fail.
    1. Check for activation or product key issues
    • If a product key was provided and it does not work or has stopped working, the key may have been blocked (for example, if it was stolen or fraudulently obtained).
    • In that case, contact the seller and request a refund for the product key purchase, as blocked or invalid keys cannot be reactivated.
    • If the product key cannot be resolved with the seller, use the guidance in “Where to enter your Office product key” to locate or troubleshoot the key, and if still unresolved, use the Microsoft support page for further help.
    1. If activation still fails
    • If Office shows “Unlicensed Product” or similar activation errors and signing in with the correct account does not fix it, use the guided support for activation issues described in the “Unlicensed Product and activation errors in Office” article.
    1. Requesting a refund from Microsoft (if purchased directly from Microsoft)
    • First, cancel the subscription or product in the Microsoft account.
    • After cancellation, check refund eligibility using the steps in “How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.” Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • If the charge is not recognized or appears incorrect, investigate it using the “Manage your payments” page as described in the refund article.
    1. If the purchase was from a third-party seller
    • If the product key is invalid or blocked, contact that seller directly and request a refund, as described in the product key support articles.

If further assistance is needed beyond these steps, contact Microsoft Support using the Microsoft support page referenced in the product key and activation articles.
