Product: Microsoft Edge (Stable Channel)
Affected Version: 149.0.4022.52
Environment: Enterprise environment using CyberArk PVWA/Privilege Cloud
Browsers tested: Issue occurs in Edge 149.0.4022.52; works perfectly in Google Chrome or MS Edge older version.
Since upgrading to Edge version 149.0.4022.52, enterprise users are experiencing a critical UI freeze when attempting to launch/download dynamically generated .rdp connection files from CyberArk.
When a user clicks "Connect", the Microsoft Edge download pop-up appears but stays stuck at 0 B/s or shows an incomplete download progress indicator.
The download only progresses/renders completely if the user clicks outside of the Edge download pop-up menu. Shifting focus away forces the UI to refresh, at which point the "Keep" or "Open file" prompt suddenly updates and allows the user to continue.

We have similar problems here.
Since MS Edge version 149, downloads of various file types simply hang at 0%. After closing the download window and reopening it (Ctrl+J), a prompt appears asking whether the file should be kept or deleted. After the selection, the download window must be closed/opened again.
The download is then complete and the file can be opened.
Downloads are made from both internal servers and external cloud systems.
Multiple File Types are affected.
