Hi, I'm new to this forum and wanted to see if I can get some advice here? My teen is having a problem on their Windows 11 PC when trying to join Minecraft Realms. (They are using Bedrock Edition and the Realm is a Bedrock Realm). They are able to join the Realm, but then their game crashes anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes into their gameplay. The Realm itself is not crashing. All other players on the Realm do not have this issue.

It only happens when my teen joins Realms from their Windows 11 PC. It doesn't happen when they join Realms under their same account on their iPad, or under their same account on my Windows 10 PC, or on a friend's Windows 11 PC. It also doesn't happen when they play a single player, LAN, multiplayer game or when joining Minecraft servers from their same Windows 11 PC. It only happens when they try to join Realms from their Windows 11 PC.

We have tried the following troubleshooting without the error being resolved:

-Joining the Realm directly from the Minecraft for Windows App.
-Joining the Realm using the Minecraft Launcher.
-Changing the Realm active world to a previous Realm world (the same error/crash happens no matter what world is active. The Realm world my teen is trying to play on is a new bedrock world with no mods. The alternate previous Realm world we loaded to test on was one my teen could previously play on with no issues and it had mods - they now have the crash happen on this world too).
-I have tried removing my teen from the Realm altogether and adding them back.
-I have tried downloading the Realm world and re-uploading it to the Realm.
-I have tried closing the Realm and reopening it.
-I have tried changing the Realm server join region.
-We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft (several times throughout our troubleshooting.
-We have tried the advice in this thread (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5910965/minecraft-keeps-crashing-either-when-loading-a-wor) re updating Visual C++.
-We have updated Nvidia graphics drivers.
-We have rolled back to a few earlier versions of the Nvidia graphics drivers.
-We have gone back to updating the Nvidia graphics drivers. (Of note the Lat stats in the Nvidia overlay show a jump back and forth from 0 to approx 30ms. This only seems to happen on my teens Windows 11 PC. It did not happen on my Windows 10 PC the Lat stat was 0ms.)
-We have tried with and without the Nvidia overlay running.
-We have checked Windows Defender antivirus firewall settings to make sure that Minecraft, the launcher and Xbox apps are not blocked by the firewall.
-We have tried different WiFi connections.
-We have tried an ethernet cable.
-We have tried downloading the Legacy Minecraft Launcher from the Minecraft Website (but that only works for Minecraft Java Edition not for Bedrock.)

We have discovered my teen's version of Windows 11 is running a different version to my friend's Windows 11 PC.

My teen's version: Windows 11 Home, Version 25H2, OS Build 26200.8457.
My friend's version: Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2, OS Build 26100.8457.

They both have the same Windows Features Experience Pack: 100.26100.304.0

My teen has never opted in to the Windows Insider Program and the "Get updates immediately" toggle is not on. My teen has a high end PC and it appears that Microsoft has pushed out the Windows version 25H2 update automatically to my teen's PC some months back.

We are wondering if Windows Version 25H2 is causing the conflict and the crashing/error in Minecraft when my teen joins the Realm on their PC?

Here is a copy of the event viewer error:

Faulting application name: Minecraft.Windows.exe, version: 1.26.21.1, time stamp: 0x6a03bbdd

-Operating System Drive: 4TB Gen 4 NVMe M.2 SSD [7000R]
-64GB [6000MHz] RGB DDR5 RAM
-1000W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the Windows 11 Home, Version 25H2, OS Build 26200.8457 update is possibly causing the error/crash when my teen is joining Minecraft Realms? And if it is, what can we do about it?

Also wondering if anyone else has had the same or similar problem?

Or if it is something else causing the error/crash and if anyone has a solution that fixes the problem?

Thanks

    Hi Nickelodeon797-6628

Windows 11 25H2 has no issues with Minecraft.
I suggest to ask Minecraft support:
