Hi Microsoft,

I am encountering an issue when trying to launch a game (MotoGP 26) on my PC. Whenever the game attempts to start via Easy Anti-Cheat, it crashes and displays the following pop-up error:

motogp26-Win64-Shipping.exe - Application Error

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

My System Specifications:

Device: Acer Nitro 5

Processor: Intel Core i5

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050

RAM: 32GB

Operating System: Windows 11

Troubleshooting Steps I Have Already Tried:

I have cleanly reinstalled my NVIDIA graphics drivers.

I reinstalled the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer using the official link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

I downloaded and installed the Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One package from TechPowerUp: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/

Despite following these steps, the error still persists as shown in the attached screenshot ("Screenshot 2026-05-26 183806.jpg").

Hi,

The program motogp26-Win64-Shipping.exe tried to load an incompatible DLL and encountered that error.

Please open the folder that contains the above executable. Maximize the window and post a screenshot.

Also, let me know if this issue occurred after manually copying some DLLs to the app folder, System32, or SysWOW64.

Here is the maximized screenshot of the folder containing the executable. To answer your second question: no, I did not manually copy or paste any individual DLL files into the app folder, System32, or SysWOW64. I only ran the official installers to reinstall my Nvidia graphics driver, DirectX, and the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables.

To narrow down the issue, let's run a ProcMon trace. Here are the instructions:

Download Process Monitor from Microsoft.

Run Process Monitor.

If the Filtering Options dialog appears, click Reset and click OK.

Click on the capture button on the tool bar if it's not already enabled.

Process Monitor will trace the events.

Now, try to start motogp26-Win64-Shipping.exe.

When the error occurs, switch to Process Monitor and stop tracing.

Save the Process Monitor entries to a log file (.PML) with "All events" selected.

Zip the PML file and upload it to OneDrive or GoFile.io and share the link here.

Before trying ProcMon, you may try temporarily moving the dsound.dll file (seen in your screenshot) to a different folder to see if that's causing the problem. The program will then use the native dsound.dll found in the System32 folder.

Hi Ramesh, moving the dsound.dll file worked perfectly! I can now open and run the game normally. Since the issue is resolved, I didn't proceed with the Process Monitor trace. Thank you so much for your help!
