Meeting chats icon missing in Teams

The overarching Meeting chats icon is missing from my Teams. It is the icon that holds the history of all my meeings. How do I get it back

    Hello Jackson, Paula H,

    1. check if the chat is just hidden
      "Make sure you’re not filtering it out"
    2. Check if Teams is using the “new chat + channels experience"
      Microsoft changed the layout recently, and meeting chats can be merged or hidden depending on the mode
      Settings --> Chat and channels --> Combined view/Separate view
    3. Check if chat is disabled by your organization
      Your IT admin may have disabled meeting chat via policy
    4. Check meeting type limitations
      Example: You joined as a guest/external user

    Other Possible Fixes:

    • Sign out of Teams --> sign back in
    • Update Teams to the latest version
    • Open Teams on the web version to compare behavior (teams.cloud.microsoft)
