You might need to activate your new license server and then use the official portal or a wizard to migrate your existing licenses to the new server's unique ID. This process can be done online or by phone, and then you must reconfigure your session host to point to the new license server.
In case, you get a "License code is already activated" error during the web or console process, you must contact the Microsoft Clearinghouse directly by phone. You can find the phone number in the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager when you attempt to activate your server and choose the "Telephone" option. A support agent will then verify your ownership and manually reset the license pack.
