To stop the next billing on June 16, cancel the subscription or turn off recurring billing directly from the Microsoft account instead of using “monitor your account.”
Follow these steps:
- Go to the Subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy the subscription.
- Under Services & subscriptions, locate the Microsoft 365 (or other) subscription that needs to be stopped.
- Select Manage next to that subscription.
- If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be billed again. Nothing more is required.
- On the next page, choose Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on the subscription type).
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete cancellation before June 16 so that recurring billing stops.
If the Cancel or Turn off recurring billing options do not appear:
- Confirm the correct Microsoft account is being used to sign in (the one that originally purchased the subscription).
- Check whether the subscription was purchased through a third party (for example, Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon, Best Buy, or another retailer). If so, cancellation must be done through that retailer’s billing/support channel, as described in the guidance.
- Make sure there is no past-due balance on the subscription; if there is, pay the overdue amount first, then cancel.
- If cancellation is still not possible online, use the guided support option from the “Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription” article to get help.
As long as cancellation or recurring billing is turned off before June 16, the subscription will not renew, and charges will stop after the current term ends. Access to the product continues until the subscription end date shown on the Services & subscriptions page.
