I created several videos on clipchamp yesterday and eventually finished at 01:00 today. Swithced it back on at 08:00 and it went straight to a non responsive white screen. I have spent all of today (and I mean all of today) with tech support or co-pilot trying to fix it to no avail. They remotely did all kind of things and nothing works. So whats could have caused it?

    Hi, good day!

What is your current Clipchamp version?

Press Start then search Clipchamp, right click it then select App settings

I checked current reports and haven't found any indication of a widespread Clipchamp service outage at this time. However, I am seeing multiple recent reports from users experiencing a blank white screen or loading issues in Clipchamp, which may suggest a problem related to a recent update or a client-side issue rather than a complete service outage.

Since several users appear to be reporting similar symptoms, it may be worth monitoring for additional reports and escalating the issue to the Clipchamp product team if the problem continues or becomes more widespread.

    Open Clipchamp

Look for the Help icon > speech bubble (Support chat) icon in the top-right or header area.

Submit your suggestion or issue directly to the team.

In case you still can't access this, please report the issue via Feedback Hub app

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.

Several different factors can cause Clipchamp to suddenly show a non‑responsive white screen, even if it worked the day before. Based on documented behavior, the most common causes are:

    1. Browser cache or corrupted site data
    • Clipchamp runs entirely in the browser; if cached files or local site data become corrupted, the editor can fail to load and show a blank/white screen.
    • Clearing the browser cache for All time and specifically Cached images and files, then restarting the browser with edge://restart or chrome://restart, is recommended when projects or assets are not loading or the editor appears stuck.
    • In more severe cases, clearing Clipchamp’s site data via Developer Tools → Application → Storage → Clear site data forces all editing/processing files to be purged and reloaded, which can resolve white‑screen load failures.
    1. Browser or GPU/graphics compatibility issues
    • Clipchamp depends on modern browser features (WebGL, GPU acceleration). If the browser updated overnight, or if the GPU driver or browser’s GPU blocklist changed, the editor can fail to initialize and present a white screen.
    • Some browsers (including Chromium‑based ones) may block certain graphics drivers; in those cases Clipchamp may report unsupported hardware or simply not render correctly.
    1. Edge “Enhanced web security” / tracking prevention or extensions blocking Clipchamp
    • In Microsoft Edge, Added security and tracking prevention for the Clipchamp site can block required web technologies, causing the app not to load.
    • Ad‑blockers, privacy extensions, or security extensions can also block scripts or storage Clipchamp needs, resulting in a non‑responsive white page.
    1. General browser instability or misconfiguration
    • Experimental flags, hardware acceleration issues, or damaged browser installations can interfere with Clipchamp’s startup.
    • Resetting browser flags, turning off hardware acceleration, repairing Edge, or resetting browser settings are documented as deeper troubleshooting steps when Clipchamp fails to work correctly.

Because Clipchamp is a web app, the root cause is typically one of:

    • Corrupted cached/site data for Clipchamp.
    • A browser or GPU change between sessions (update, driver, or blocklist change).
    • Security/privacy features or extensions newly blocking required functionality.

Any of these can appear suddenly “overnight” even if nothing obvious was changed manually.
