i have completed a learning pathway and training for another certification. is the "fest" just for the training while we still have to pay $100 to actually receive the certification?

Completing Microsoft Learn training paths, playlists, or Skills Fest activities does not automatically grant a certification exam voucher. Training, badges, trophies, and XP are separate from paid certification exams.

Key points from the available information:

    • Certifications are only earned by passing the corresponding certification exams, not by completing Learn modules or learning paths.
    • XP and badges/trophies on Microsoft Learn are for tracking progress and motivation; they are not redeemable for exam vouchers or discounts.
    • Exam vouchers or discounts are only provided when explicitly offered by a specific promotion, event, sweepstakes, or program (for example, some webinars, special challenges, or sweepstakes may grant a discount or voucher, but only if that offer is clearly stated and the terms are met).
    • When a voucher or discount is granted (for example, via an event or sweepstakes), it is either:
      • Applied automatically to the Microsoft Learn profile used to register for the event and appears at checkout when scheduling through Pearson VUE, or
      • Sent as a voucher code by Pearson VUE with instructions on how to redeem it.
    • If no explicit voucher/discount offer is associated with the Skills Fest or training attended, the standard exam fee still applies.

To verify whether a particular Skills Fest or training includes a voucher or discount, check the official event or promotion page and its FAQ/terms. If a voucher is promised and not yet received, it is typically delivered by Pearson VUE to the email used for registration within the stated timeframe.
