I have attempted to download and log into Teams using the web version, and the app version. I have M365 Premium. I've messaged Microsoft chat and they said some systems aren't able to run Teams. This is a brand new computer - less than a year old, with Windows 11. I've deleted the app and reinstalled, I've reinstalled Windows, and I can use my Teams account just fine on my phone. Any thoughts, tips, or advice? Microsoft said to give it a few days and try again, which I did, but I do need to use Teams for some upcoming meetings and I'd prefer to not have to use my phone to do so. Thank you!

Are you using a personal Microsoft account, or a work/school account?
Can you go to Settings > Accounts > Your info, and share a screenshot of this page please?

Hi! I am so sorry, I just saw this response. I am using a personal Microsoft account. However, my personal computer was previously used with a business/work account, and I'm concerned that this may be part of the issue I'm having. I had to delink everything from that work account - I was previously able to use Teams just fine with that work account. This issue only started when I transitioned to using my personal account using M365. I'm not sure my screenshot will be very helpful, but I've attached one with my info edited out. This page looks fine. It is not related to what I thought could be.
Since you said this happened after you removed the work account, I think you might want to clear Teams cache first and see if that helps.

I've tried this, and it still doesn't work. I went back and deleted any downloads I had for previous attempts, cleared my recycle bin, completely deleted the contents of that folder, deleted the app, and started over from scratch. Honestly, I'll try anything else at this point - like I said, I had also previously reinstalled Windows just in case. I even just tried to create a free trial account to see if there is something wrong with my subscription to M365 and that didn't work either. Ugh. So frustating! I was so helpful that your answer would work since you have such an amazing response track record, but clearly some weird wires are crossed somewhere! Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate your time and effort. If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears, but I also understand if you want to tap out on this random Teams issue. :) Thanks!
OK, so this is weird. I tried to use a different Microsoft Account that I have - also a user on my subscription - and it worked JUST FINE. Teams opened right up. This is not the email that I would ever use for a "public facing" account (like one I'd use for job interviews) - but now I wonder if the issue is that my account doesn't have the email I'm trying to use as a user? That probably doesn't make sense. Here is a screenshot of my account, logged in with my other email! Screenshot 2026-04-13 112332.png. Any thoughts on this? Thank you!
OK, well, I just tried to log into Teams with my preferred email address/account and it won't work - I still get the same errors. But I was able to log in using my other Microsoft account. So I guess there is an error with my gmail account login I'm trying to use - the other is an old aol account. Any thoughts? Thanks again!
