    Hii,

If you access the Camera app, see if it is recognized, is there an error?

If that doesn't work, try pressing FN + the camera icon.

If it doesn't work Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so we can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

    Thanks

    Welcome Dipen Kunwar,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your Purified view camera feature stopped working while Purified voice still works, even though it was working before.

Before we continue, I’d like to ask a couple of quick questions to better narrow this down:

    • Does your camera show video correctly in Microsoft Teams without enabling Purified view?
    • Are you using an integrated laptop camera or an external webcam?

In addition to Q&A Assist's suggested steps, please try these extra checks to move forward:

Option 1: Reset camera privacy permissions

    • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
    • Make sure Camera access is On
    • Turn off and then turn on Let apps access your camera
    • Ensure Microsoft Teams is allowed

Option 2: Reset the Camera app

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find Camera
    • Click Advanced options
    • Select Repair, then Reset

    Option 3: Clear Teams cache

    • Fully close Teams
    • Press Windows + R > type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
    • Delete all files in the folder
    • Restart Teams and sign in again

I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.

Purified view relies on the camera working correctly in Windows and in Teams. Since it used to work and now stopped, troubleshoot the camera first, then Teams.

    1. Verify the camera works in Windows
      • Open Start > Camera and check if the preview works.
      • If the camera does not show video, follow these steps:
        • Check for Windows updates and optional driver updates:
          • Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
          • If available, go to Advanced options > Optional updates and install any camera driver updates, then restart the device.
        • Run the Windows camera troubleshooter:
          • Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Camera > Run.
        • Check antivirus or firewall software and temporarily disable camera protection features, then test again.
    2. Check the camera driver
      • Open Device Manager (search for “device manager” from Start).
      • Expand Cameras (or Imaging devices / Sound, video and game controllers) and locate the webcam.
      • Update the driver:
        • Right‑click the camera > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers, then restart.
      • If the issue started after an update, try rolling back:
        • Right‑click the camera > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver (if available), then restart.
      • If still failing, uninstall and let Windows reinstall:
        • Right‑click the camera > Uninstall device and (if shown) check Delete the driver software for this device.
        • Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the default driver.
    3. If using an external webcam
      • Try a different USB port.
      • In Device Manager, use Action > Scan for hardware changes after reconnecting the camera.
    4. If the camera works in the Windows Camera app but not in Teams
      • The problem is likely with Teams or its use of the camera pipeline.
      • On some systems, issues with Windows Media Foundation or Frame Server mode can cause Teams video to fail while other apps work. A known workaround in similar Teams camera issues is to adjust the Windows video pipeline via registry (disabling hardware/frame‑server handling), which an administrator can apply based on organizational policy.
      • If this is a work device, contact the IT admin and share that Teams video fails while the Windows Camera app works; they can check for known Teams camera issues in the environment and apply the registry‑based workaround that disables problematic hardware encoding or Frame Server mode, as documented in internal guidance.

After confirming the camera works in Windows and in a basic Teams call (without effects), re‑enable Purified view in Teams and test again. If Purified view alone still fails while normal video works, escalate to the organization’s IT or Microsoft support with details that:

    • Camera works in Windows Camera app.
    • Camera works in Teams without Purified view.
    • Purified voice works, but Purified view fails.
