Calendar overflow indicator not displaying

Microsoft Outlook for Mac calendar, Version 16.109.3 (26053122). Normally in monthly view the calendar displays a max of 3 meetings in one day, if more than this it should an overflow number at the bottom. Some of my dates with more than three meetings no longer show the overflow number in the cell. I have deleted my account and rebuilt it, but the behaviour continues, what could be the problem. I'm on Mac Tahoe 26.5. There are no hidden categories used in the calendar filters set.

I have to remember to switch do daily view, regularly to check if anything is not displaying. The missing overflow indicator is impacting my workflow, is there a fix in the pipeline for this?

    Hi Colin
    Thank you for sharing.

Regarding the automatic update for Legacy Outlook for Mac, you can go to Help > Check for Updates, then uncheck “Automatically keep Microsoft apps up to date.” This will disable AutoUpdate not only for Legacy Outlook, but also for other Office applications on your device.

From my testing, when you create more than three events in Legacy Outlook and select the arrow to view additional events, the view switches to the Day view. In addition, if you create events in Legacy Outlook or Outlook on the web, the New Outlook interface is still able to display the indicator showing additional events.

However, I understand that these approaches may not fully align with your expectations. In this case, I highly recommend sharing your feedback through Ideas · Community

    Hi Colin

Based on my testing, I was able to reproduce the same behavior in Outlook for Mac version 16.109.3.

That said, you may consider reverting to a previous Outlook for Mac version where this behavior does not occur, as it appears to be related to the newer version. In my test case, version 16.108 did not show this behavior.

To proceed, you can remove Outlook for Mac first, then reinstall version 16.108 using the updater package available from Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn

In addition, you may consider using Outlook on the web here: https://outlook.cloud.microsoft/mail/

This can be a helpful alternative while waiting for the issue to be addressed in a future update.

I hope this brings additional insight, and thank you for your time.
