Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Microsoft may block creating new Microsoft accounts from the same device or IP address to prevent fraud or bulk account creation.
To work around being blocked from creating accounts on the PC:
- Try a different sign-up method
- Use an email address instead of a phone number, or vice versa, when creating the account.
- Go to https://signup.live.com or select Create an account on a Microsoft sign-in page.
- Use another device
- Create the new Microsoft account from a different PC, phone, or tablet.
- After the account is created, sign in on the blocked PC with that account.
- Use an existing account or local account during PC setup
- If setting up a new Windows PC and blocked from creating a new account:
- Use an existing Microsoft account to finish setup, then later add the new account.
- Or set up Windows with a local account first, then change from a local account to a Microsoft account afterward.
- If setting up a new Windows PC and blocked from creating a new account:
- Avoid creating many accounts from the same network/device
- Microsoft checks IP addresses and can stop multiple account creations from the same IP.
- Microsoft accounts are not designed to be created in batches.
If the goal is to create multiple accounts, spread creation over different devices or networks and only create accounts actually needed.
