    Hi,

The system has detected unusual login attempts on your account and has temporarily blocked it to protect your security. In most cases, the block will automatically expire after 24 hours of no further sign in attempts. After that, you should be able to log in normally.

If the issue continues, your last option is to complete the account recovery form to verify your identity: https://account.live.com/acsr

Microsoft takes account security seriously, so the recovery process is fully automated to prevent unauthorized access. Complete the form using a device and location you've used before, and make sure to provide an accessible email address.

Microsoft typically reviews recovery requests within 24 hours. If your request is successful, they’ll send instructions to help you recover your account.

Help with the Microsoft account recovery form: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/help-with-the-microsoft-account-recovery-form-b19c02d1-a782-dee6-93c3-dc8113b20c42

You can submit the form up to twice within a 24-hour period, so feel free to include any new details you remember each time until you recover your account.

If the issue persists, let Microsoft know by filling out the reinstatement form here: https://www.microsoft.com/concern/AccountReinstatement

Note: This is different from the account recovery form.

Microsoft Team will review the reason your account was locked. If they determine that you are the rightful owner, they will reinstate your account. Please note that they typically respond within 48 to 72 hours. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders for their response.

Because the old alternate email is still on the account and the verification code is not arriving at the main email, the only supported way to regain access is to use the automated recovery and verification tools.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Use the Sign-in Helper / account recovery flow
      • Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and choose Forgot password or Recover your account.
      • Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used to sign in.
      • When asked where to send the security code, if none of the options are accessible (for example, only the old alternate email appears), choose the option that indicates I don’t have any of these (if shown) and proceed to the recovery form.
      • Guidance for this process is in My username and password have stopped working and Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
    2. Complete the Microsoft account recovery form
      • Use a working email address that can be accessed now; Microsoft will use it only to contact about the recovery request.
      • Provide as much accurate information as possible (past passwords, contacts, subjects, etc.) to prove ownership.
      • Microsoft reviews the form and responds, typically within 24 hours.
    3. If verification codes are not sent to the main email
      • Verification codes are only sent to security info (primary alias or added verification email/phone). If the main email is not configured as security info, codes will not go there.
      • If blocked due to unusual activity or too many requests, the system may temporarily stop sending codes. In that case, wait for the block to clear and avoid repeated requests.
    4. If two-step verification is enabled and no verification method is accessible
      • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate methods (phone, email, authenticator) can be used, support agents cannot override or send codes. Recovery must go through the automated form as described in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
    5. If still unable to sign in
      • Use the Sign-in Helper tool to diagnose sign-in issues.
      • For additional technical help (not for sending codes or changing account details), go to Contact Microsoft Support, describe the problem, and use the Get Help / Contact Support options.

Once access is restored, update security info so codes go to the correct email/phone and remove any old or untrusted alternate addresses.
