Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Please be advised that unless the account owner is able to access the account, subscription cancellation is not possible, and Microsoft personnel cannot retrieve this information.

If you have access to the verification method linked to that account, you may reset the password on account.microsoft.com > click on "Forgot Password" > provide the codes from your verification method > then proceed to reset the password.

If you do not have any linked verification methods for a password reset, I'm afraid the only way to recover the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If you didn't receive the results from the account recovery webform, please try submitting another request via Incognito/InPrivate window and using different devices and network services. Then please check your email inbox, junk, and spam folders.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Once you have gained access to the account, here's how to cancel your subscription: On account.microsoft.com > go to Subscriptions,> Locate the subscription > then select Cancel Subscription.

However, if you are no longer able to recover your account, you will need to reach out directly to your bank and request to freeze all charges from Microsoft, cancelling the subscription on its renewal in the process.

You may also need to request a new payment method.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

To cancel a recurring Microsoft 365 subscription when the password for that account is forgotten, the subscription must either be canceled by signing in to that specific Microsoft account or by stopping payment through the payment provider.

    1. Try to recover access to the Microsoft account
      • Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and use the Forgot password or account recovery options to regain access to the account associated with the subscription (the ******@outlook.com address).
      • Once access is restored, go to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with that same account.
      • Locate the subscription, select Manage, then choose Cancel or Turn off recurring billing, and follow the prompts. Access to the subscription continues until the end of the current term.
    2. If the account cannot be accessed
      • When it is not possible to sign in or recover the account, Microsoft cannot cancel the subscription on behalf of the user because of account security protections.
      • In this situation, cancel the recurring charge directly with the bank or card issuer that is paying for the subscription. Ask them to block or dispute further recurring payments to Microsoft for that subscription.

For future subscriptions, ensure that account recovery information (alternate email, phone number, and security info) is kept up to date so that password issues do not prevent cancellation.
