    Hi @Jim Sheehy

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your image to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Based on the screenshot, the error AADSTS20012 indicates an issue with the sign-in process, specifically related to how the authentication response is being handled.

This is not an issue with the Outlook mobile app or the Samsung device itself. Instead, it points to a issue with your organization’s authentication setup (federated identity provider). Because of that, the Outlook app is unable to complete the sign-in when adding your work account.

As this is a user-to-user forum and we do not have access to backend configuration, you will need to contact your IT administrator to investigate this further. They can review the identity provider configuration and sign-in logs using the Request ID and Correlation ID shown in the error message.

I hope this information is helpful.

On Samsung S25-series devices there is a known issue where Microsoft apps such as Outlook and Teams fail to work or sign in correctly because of a regression in Android System WebView that shipped with a Samsung security update. This affects the embedded sign-in experience and can surface as repeated sign-in errors when trying to add an account in Outlook for Android.

To resolve the issue on the Samsung S25+:

    1. Open Settings on the phone.
    2. Search for “Android System WebView”.
    3. Select App details in store.
    4. Choose Remove updates for Android System WebView.
    5. Reboot the phone.
    6. Go back to Settings → Android System WebView → App details in store and Update Android System WebView to the latest version.
    7. Reboot again, then open Outlook and try signing in.

If Android System WebView does not appear directly in the app list:

    1. Go to Settings → Google → All services → System services.
    2. Select Android System WebView and then follow the same Remove updates → Reboot → Update → Reboot sequence.
    3. Launch Outlook and sign in.

This sequence restores a working WebView component and allows Outlook for Android to complete the sign-in flow on affected Samsung S25 devices.
