Microsoft account creation failed

About an year ago my microsoft account was compromised and after contacting support the xbox account's details assosiated with it were transfered to another of my accounts but the original microsoft account was suspended. Now if i try to log in to this account with the gmail address that it was originally created with it says "We couldn't find an account with that username. Try another, or get a new Microsoft account." but when i try to create a new account with the same email it says "Looks like you have an account". So is it possible for me to create a new microsoft account with the same gmail address that was previosly suspended?
